DRY FERTILIZER EQUIPMENT
Gar supplies fertilizer storage and application equipment to growers that purchase bulk fertilizer products from them.
As part of this usage agreement, it is understood that the grower assumes all responsibility for lost, stolen or damage
done to any unit while under their care and custody. Care and custody means from the time the unit is delivered to a
grower location to the time the unit has been “physically” returned to GAR.
General Purpose Dry Fertilizer Spreader
 
GAR supplies two types of dry fertilizer applicators. The one shown here is a S&A unit. Gar also
supplies Ranchero style spreaders. The S&A unit shown here has a 2 ton capacity, all oil enclosed
gearboxes including a 2 speed gearbox, which can double the delivery rate when shifted into high
gear. This enables the spreader to have a range between 150 to 2000 pounds per acre. The Ranchero
style spreader has similar capacity but a 800 maximum per acre spreading capacity.
Features
A standard AG 100 spreader comes equipped with a stainless steel hopper, and a stainless steel rear
spinner assembly. There is an optional stainless steel deflector that channels the material to the sides,
especially useful for putting fertilizer directly to vines or trees in vineyard or orchard applications,
minimizing waste. The 12" stainless steel conveyor chain is ground driven off of the tire to
eliminate inconsistencies in the spread pattern due to change of speed. The spinners are also ground
driven, with options of modifying to PTO or hydraulic spinner configurations.
S&A's NUG 275 Fertilizer Tender
This unit is pulled to the customer’s field and used to refill applicator units. It has a 275 cubic
foot hopper and a 10 ton GVW trailer. It comes equipped with a 10 horse engine to unload
quickly. Roll tarps are supplied top keep material from blowing in transportation.
S&A's NUG 230 Fertilizer Tender
GAR uses this unit to for speedy refill of orders. It carries a full 230 cubic feet of material and
its 8" auger discharges at a height of about 90" above the base of the skid. It comes standard
with a 16 horse engine, for speedy unloading.
S&A's 32 Ton Portable Storage Bin
This unit is placed at the customer’s site in one trip and filled with a full truckload of
material. It takes the place of 4 deliveries with a 8 ton. It has two compartments which may
be filled with different products for added flexibility. Each compartment has its own 8"
auger discharge which is hydraulically powered by a 16 h.p. engine.
